Chain Tensioner New Design, Captured Idler Chain Tensioner!

    That's a good sound design, but could be even better with a heavy spring on it keeping it from just falling down like it'll tend to do

    Upgrade To New Tensioner Designed Will Post When Fabricated And Tested

    Thanks for the input butre.

    I presently have a design to upgrade the one I already designed and fabricated. It uses a spring, but I will not give any info on my upgrade till it is fabricated and tested. The upgrade will be installed on my second build which I am working on now. Your just going to have to be patient, it takes weeks to design and fabricate and months of testing.

    That tensioner will definitely hold its position.
    Seems its better to run one spring-loaded tensioner and one fixed tensioner.
    If one fails, the other will still keep the chain from jumping off and eating spokes.
