I'm looking for a fuel tank that maybe mounts on the side or is flatter than the auxillary tank Staton sells. It's the perfect size for range but I don't like the way it mounts and it mounts way too high on the channel. Anyone have any idea of a tank I'm looking for? Any links? Needs to be about 1/2gal[64oz] capacity. I've looked and looked and can't seem to find anything that makes sense. Needs to have 2 lines going into it and work w/the gx50, FD setup. In the end Statons setup might be the only logical choice.

I welded 1/4 inch sheet metal to unistrut. Then used conduit straps to secure that to the top tube. I used a Craftsman 5 quart see through plastic tank.

I'm in the same boat Brother!
Have scouwered the interwebs to no avail.
Not ideal, or long term, but I strapped a 1 gallon winshield wiper fluid bottle to the right side of my FD. Plummed both fuel lines, and put the whole thing in an el cheapo Wally World bicycle bag. Looks like a regular pannier bag.
Me ride long time.

Maybe you can use this one. www.ebay.com/itm/12265205864

LR Jerry's plastic 5qt tank looks beautiful you should do something like that. LOL

The primary purpose of a see through tank isn't beauty. See through tanks mean you'll always know exactly how much gas you have. Even when riding I know how much gas I have. With a full 5 quarts it means I can go on a very long trip before needing to get more gas. I do plan to do a little cosmetic touch up paint work soon. But the tank was built more so for functionilty than beauty; otherwise I would've mounted a metal tank.

The square tanks listed do not have an entry way for 2 gas lines that I can see. The others aren't much bigger than the gx50 oem tank in capacity. Thanks for the suggestions though. Yes a see through tank rocks where you can see the gas level by just looking at it.

Staton Inc sells a rubber duel hole grommet that fits into a 7/8 inch hole. You'll need a hole saw.

You can get these same grommets on eBay as well.
