I bought a new frame for my engine and the bars are much larger in diameter. Had to increase the length of the threaded motor mount studs and soon realized the gas tank studs are also way too short. Attempted to back them out to put longer ones in and snapped one clean off and didnt even attempt to remove the others. Does anyone know if they sell tanks that actually have removable studs or at least are about an inch longer? I keep seeing the same one i have online. Cheap Chinese crap (no offense)

Here is what I use...It is a 1.06 gallon gas tank that does not have those studs that leak and/or snap off, you simply use nuts and bolts with lock washers, (Depending on the tube thickness, you may have to get longer bolts at hardware store), but this is a great tank almost identical to the Whizzer motored bike gas tanks.

Also be sure to line that recessed tube channel underneath the tank with some old rubber inner tube or similar which helps keep it from moving so you dont have to overtighten the tank nuts and bolts to get it to stay in place.

Here is a pic of the bottom of that tank to give you a general idea of how to fasten it on the top bar.

Here is my bike pics showing when I had the small 2 liter tank with a Zeda motor and the second pic shows my bike with the larger 1.06 gallon tank with the Phantom motor on it...As you will see it is not only more stable, but looks a hell of a lot better on the bike as well...lol...lol.

Where the bottle holder is on the front tubing, you will see factory drilled holes in the tube...Motor vibration will cause these holes to crack the frame all around and crack the frame on you...It's even worse if it is an aluminum frame, (steel is the preferred frames for motorising a bicycle)...I know this first hand because I had this problem with my old Huffy steel frame and it totally cracked and fell apart after a few thousand miles

There are a few guys here in the forums that will guide you as to what to do with those holes so this hopefully doesn't happen to you.

Here is a pic of the Huffy I had that cracked and broke on me...My factory filled holes where on the seat post where the rear motor mount attached to the frame.

Pull those fenders off please...

Also, stick a magnet to that frame and see if it sticks. If it doesn't I wouldn't use that frame, especially with the mention water bottle mount.

If it's steel, weld up the bottle mount holes and fill the down tube with spray foam. That will help dampen vibrations and keep the frame lasting longer

it is indeed aluminum

If this is any help to ya, this is the frame I am using for the past 4, almost 5 years now...Sturdy, it has great welding, thicker tubing and it's steel...$148.00 brand new, I only use the frame and handlebars though, I replaced the wheels with coaster brakes to go with mags and disk brakes.

I was very impressed with the construction of the Hyper. It is way thicker and larger tubing than any other bikes on the market. It makes for one sturdy bike, especially with upgraded wheels.
