New Headlight

I'm using an 8.4v battery for this light so I'll have a constant source at least
If your output device is smooth and below peak current and voltage of the cobb, you should be good to go without a driver.

I use lab grade power supplies to test new laser diodes, not recommended if you have no idea what you are doing. Cobbs can be ran and tested the same way, the power source is extremely important when dealing with lasers. Not so much when with cobbs, just stay below the peaks and make sure there are no spikes, and it will be good.
