New in South San Francisco Bay Area

Hi All,

I am new to this forum. I started a build that I thought would be a great alternative way to work when the traffic is bad. I commute across San Jose from the Southwest to the Northeast side every day.

I thought it would be great if I could utilize the local trails for my commute with a motorized bicycle. Unfortunately the build has become much more troublesome than I imagined. I have a 1993 Specialized Rockhopper on which I have added an electric front motor and a 2 stroke rear motor kit. So, essentially it is a gasoline-electric motorized bicycle.

Currently the problems are: the LiFePO4 battery just failed on me and the 2 stroke engine gasket blew out.

Sorry to hear of your troubles. But then, stuff like that is part of the game. At least you've got a place where you can count on good weather most of the time.
