I'm obviously a new member, and haven't yet built a motorized bicycle, but it looks fun and I've been reading a lot on the forums recently. I think I'm going to go with a starfire gt2 engine as I've read good things about them and they're relatively inexpensive as well. I know they're not nearly as great as the subaru/tanaka/mitsubishi/etc, but I just want to try doing this as cheap as possible to start. I look forward to building up a cheap motorized bike for getting around town and for fun and like the idea of not needing a license, insurance, registration, and I really can't stand all the DMV fees!
If anyone has any recommendations I'm all ears.
