Riding back to the office after lunch yesterday the clutch bell and the 20t driver attached to it came apart. Upon disassembly it appears that there is absolutely nothing holding the two parts together other than a press fit. (See Photos) This being a new drive and less than a month old it should be covered under warranty. But the replacement part is going to have exactly the same problem and this same separation will happen again. So I'll also be checking with a local fabricator to see about the possibility of having the pieces either welded or brazed together.

Press fits when done properly hold. The part could have been damaged or something was made incorrectly. You should have an experienced machinist check it out.

My solution to the clutch bell coming apart was to take the pieces to a local fabrication shop and have it welded together. The fabricator did a fantastic job welding the seam around the inside of the clutch bell.
