Ouchy...that's the guy I sent a mesasage to awhile back saying "Your engine boxes say "made in China" on them, what up with that?" He gave me a story that differs from the explination on the eBay page. I'm not saying they aren't made in Russia, but....

I think I'll pass on those. Expensive, funky carb, "we bought some of these and want to dump, er, get rid of, er, sell off the remaining one since they are "hard to ship"?

15-25 mph top?

The only thing I see good on there is maybe, maybe the steel liner, but then again our China Nikasil cylinders are good too.

I have a couple of these Russians. They are putt-putts. starts easy...every time. 25mph on mine would be a stretch....more like 18mph.
Vax says they can be beefed up with some porting, better carb/exhaust, & high compression pistons are available. Milehigh uses a smaller rear sprocket & runs over 20mph.
The no choke carb....true. But the aircleaner turns slightly, to close & open.

A little history of the m21....Don Grubee bought a bunch of these in Russia, shipped them to China for upgrades & packaging. (upgrades = chrome plating exhaust, etc.)

I've misplaced my instructions....does anyone know what gap the points are to be set? I guessed at .012 gap.

Good guess....I think .012-.016 is about right.

No choke carb...but the air cleaner is a choke.

yup...to the choke

thanks fer the confirmation on the points. It might run 4500 rpms... :(

i was only pointing them out...i have no idea about who or what...good input, tho.
