New to power bikes

Hello,

I am lost and looking for some help.

I am thinking of using a motor kit to add to my bike or purchase a scooter. I really have no idea what I am doing.:???:

Where should I go to get advise on adding an engine to my bike? Should I go gas or electric? Should it be 2 stroke or 4?

Will gas engines be too loud for my early AM ride to work?

I could really use some guidance from you experienced guys!

Thanks!

Welcome!

I'll jump in here before Augie does and say read, read, read. "All your questions will be answered, my son". Search this site for discussions of most, if not all of your issues.

Also, I like the term "power bikes"! Might have to start using it myself.

welcome to MBc ! :D
I agree...
read all you can here and it will help with your choice of engine (gas/electric) and how to mount (frame/rack)
all choices have +/-'s to them
the more research you do ahead of time, the easier your build will be

be more specific about what you want to get out of it and you situation. then we can help you better mate. eg four cycle was ideal in my opinion due to its reduction in emissions. tanks
