So this is the new toy I'm using for "decent weather days".... I acquired it from my fiancés son. It took sum work to get it moving! Overall, I think it needs a smaller rear sprocket. It only gets up to about 25mph....fun as hell to ride tho!

Welcome to the madhouse. Is that a 49 cc or a 66? All you might get is 25. Find an air filter for it, even a sock or something is better than nothing.

Thanks for the heads up.... But it's just a cheap chinadoll..... I'm just using it to putz around town, no dirt trails..... Lol 49cc

The 48cc engines will run pretty good with a little work, I've got two that will do 30+. FYI, the 48cc engine needs to turn higher rpm than the 66-69cc engine to develop power, I changed from a 44 tooth to a 41 and lost top speed.

How is it possible to loose speed when going to a smaller sprocket?

Doesnt matter that your not on dirt trails...just a few grains of road sand/debris, whipped up by a gust of wind is sufficient to find its way into your intake and into your cylinder causing damage...DAMIEN

In my defense, this is the shape that it was in when I got it. And to this day, no one will admit to damaging it! So I'm lucky to have even gotten it to run.....

I've seen both of those tricks done twice. The one on the left can be done without even trying. Don't ask me how I know that!
