I ran a Nibbi on my dual sport for a few years. They are good carbs for a budget clone and generally have a better quality to them than other clone carbs. They are worth the little bit extra.
Yeaaaaa... Mikuni is not my favorite
Mikuni is my favorite, ironically. It's not the carb design that makes me prefer them, however, but the design of the jets themselves. Mikuni jets are not sized by hole diameter but flow rate - a 100 main jet = 100cc/min of maximum fuel flow capability. This is achieved by the jets having a taper to the holes, and this taper is beneficial in giving very controlled fuel flow across all ranges of manifold vacuum conditions. It's also why they are slightly less temperamental with changes to density altitude and considered a better carburetor for power production in race engines.

That tapered jet design is also why simply filling and drilling a Mikuni jet often results in a poor running engine. It's also why using Mikuni or a good off the shelf aftermarket jet is essential. Cheap amazon jets for Mikuni carbs are just Keihin jets with a different threading. They never run well.

The Nibbi carbs are sweet for a knockoff carb. I put a 28mm on my Yamaha fourwheeler. Ran really good until the cam threw the cam chain. I'm eventually gonna upgrade my PZ19 to the Nibbi one (for the stickers lol)
The stickers fade quick in the sun
