These are simple carbs. When tuning my chainsaw, I hold the trigger under no-load and open the high jet until it begins to crackle. Then I run it, bearing down into a cut, and listen to the engine. I open the high jet a little more until it starts to crackle, and then adjust it back in until it runs clear. Load testing is the best way to determine the correct setting. I'm running a 32:1 mix in my bike, and it still 4strokes some under a low load up to about half throttle. It clears its throat after a bit. Does your engine seem to accelerate Ok?
