No idle

It may be both, base gasket could cause the idle and revving, head or exhaust gasket would give hot gases. Best to check every gasket from the base up. If you keep digging you're going to find it.

Agree sometimes while addressing 1 issue you find another you weren't even aware of.

Its quite alot of warm air/gas coming out right at the drive sprocket area. Strange thing is It still has plenty of power.
