Hello all;

Just a new guy that became interested in engine bikes because of instructables.com. A guy on there turned his BMX into an crudely run engine powered bike. Then I began to search all over for them and get ideas. I do ride motorcycles, but just to ride around the neighborhood, I have become more interested in riding one of these. I have seen many versions. And for any questions I guess I will just willingly ask you all the knowledge that you know.

I offer the following advice ... Start with a good set of Heavy Duty wheels, and a clamshell hub. As a motorcyclist, you are prone to take * suspension * for granted.

The more wheelbase, the better. Cruiser bikes are longer than mountain bikes

Strip off fenders, and any other not needed sheetmetal

A child's bike crank is smaller than a 26" crank, the small crank allows lower
engine mounting, chain guard can be mounted lower, with spacers .

Give much thought to chain tensioner, welding engine and tank mounts is wize. Steel tubing Brazes nicely.
