I have one of them Kent cruiieer bikes. Is it normal to go thru pads crazy fast? And what can I replace them with
 
I'm poor for real crazy poor I had to salvage pads from a abanded mountain bike. I don't care if I'm ever rich but I'd sure like to not be poor lol.

I'm on a fixed income, I fully understand being poor. Still, I refuse to compromise my safety to save a few dollars. Because it isn't any savings at all if you end up in a hospital or funeral home.

Stopping is always more important than speed.
 
For real I'm starting to think Walmart put the wrong pads on my Kent..it stops way way better with my used pads lol the Kent's first pads was only like 1 inch or shorter long

They put the cheapest material possible in those pads. Which are designed to stop a bike doing 10 mph.
