I can't seem to get my NT carb to seal completely. It's not a horrible air leak, mostly it idles and does fine, just a tendency for the idly to be a bit high after coming off full throttle before it settles back down. It's almost a non problem but how do I get it to seal?

I am having to use an offset intake to clear my frame, but I have an O-ring that fits between the carb and intake, but no matter how much I push, and tighten the carb, it still shows a leak when I spray brake cleaner at that joint when it idles (engine dies).

I guess I need an assistant to push the carb while I tighten? Kinda a two hand operation holding a wrench, screwdriver and trying to push the carb against the intake and squish the O-ring.

Do I need an O-ring and Teflon tape or something? I did check the offset for leaks in the welds prior to install, no leak...

Maybe try doing it with someone else to help. I have a CNC short intake with an integrated o ring, so I have never had such an issue.

I filled the slots in the carb flange with red silicon, that seemed to help with the air leaking. More area to form a seal.
