Number of Motorized bikes out there?

HI All,

I was just curious...Does anybody have any rough idea of the total # of motorized bikes out there ( rack mount or center mounted engines)....I was just curious because, while I see loads of scooters around, I have never actually seen another motorized bike anywhere (other than the ones I have sold to friends or on this site).

you may be surprised...i don't know the numbers, myself, but i can relate this:

i built S-II (1st version) in november of last year. before mine, noone here claimed to have seen one besides the lone whizzer that's been around here for years.

since then, i've helped build or maintain 4 different motoredbikes here, 3 (including mine) are all that's left, or so i thought. today i was followed home by a guy who'd asked me, 5 months ago, to demonstrate her hill climbing capabilities. seems he wanted to show me 3 more i didn't know about, this one included...it looks like the august MBc picnic's gonna be fun!
