Octane Ratings

Some people are real good at necroposting That's when you post in a thread that's over 3 years since the last time it was posted in:D

Be that as it may, the biggest thing today is trying to find gas that has no ethanol in it. I think Shell might be the only one's left here with all gasoline gas.

most likely, it will not lead to improper operation. What I found was this. On cold weather starts, 85 octane worked better than 90> octane. Other than that the extra .60 cents a gallon is hardly a factor at 84 mpg.

you are so right lower octain starts it easyer, higher octain gives it abit more power but harder to start.

a side note allways use shell v-power if you can get it.all the others have 5-15% ethenol.ethenol does NOT mix with oil,a death note for a engine using fuel and oil as a lubicant.

I somehow knew that if any Gas Company still had gas with no Ethanol it would be Shell and we have Shell stations here :D
