Oil on clutch

I removed my clutch assembly to put knew clutch pads on witch I found out I didn't have to do but the plate the pads grab on to the one on the assembly is all oily greasy I think this is just from me sloppy working on it how should I clean it up so my clutch won't slip

I think I used Windex.

Brake cleaner or carb cleaner. I have a big can of carb cleaner so that would be my choice.

Maybe acetone. My neighbor had the same problem because grease got into the pads. He just changed them out for new ones and cleaned up the clutch wheel.

rag and some gas will work OK
