This is a little bit of info I picked up from reading Homepower Magazine. In an article in the latest issue they stated that 1 gallon of gas can produce 36.6 kilowatts/hour. Here's my crack math on what that equals in horsepower terms at 100% efficiency.

36,600/746= 49.06 hp for one hour.

If our favorite stroker were able to magically become 100%, it could run over 14 hours at a peak out put of 3.5 hp/hour.

I'm going to be conservative and guess that a mbike will get 150 mile per gallon at 25 mph which equals roughly 6 hours of run time. That equals a 42.8% energy conversion ratio.

Does anyone know the output in hp that the stroker actually rated at continuous power?
