I am having hard time with chain sprocket alignment can't afford adapter I read on here a guy said use one rubber not two would that work?
Be ready too replace spokes had 6 bikes so far and all of them had sprocket adapters and everyone of them worked great rag joints eat spokes a lot sooner. Cdhpower has a lot of them too select from. Same with ebay save your money up and get one it will be cheaper then a bike shop and buying new spokes in the long run.
I understand that some people have great luck with ragjoints i respect that it works for them i used my first motorized bike with a rag joint and it broke many of my spokes after a while and threw my wheel way out of true took it too a bike shop got it fixed and a sprocket hub adapter fixed my issueswhen do spokes start to break because i'm going on 2 years now and not a one, i've popped tires and tubes but not a bad spoke
from my understanding as long as you keep the sprocket aligned perfectly and in good standing and chain in good standing and not beating everything you will have a good time..
i tried the clamp adapter and it kept on slipping and i tried everything to stop the slipping even tried a smaller one and the smaller one no fit because it was to small
Their are success and failure stories with both types, and both generally work well with proper size to hub and proper installation procedures. Some hubs have slightly under sized spools, and some have cheap spokes or pressed on flanges. Even with good installation these can still fail. Read the size on the adapter and measure your hub for compatibility. Thanks guys I appreciate all of your advice! My problem is IAm no mechanic I cant get wheel aligned right think IAm gonna go with Luke's advice!
