good old tesla, master of the ac motor and high frequency electricity...
also liked to dabble with fluids, liquids...gasses...
and made a valve.
it actually does what its intended to do (shock shock horror!)
a valve with no moving parts that allows unimpeded flow in one direction whilst preventing flow in the other.
it actually does let some back through the other way...it works far better with extremely fast, high pressure fluctuations in the fluid... such as what happens in a combustion chamber.
with steady, continuous flow it works more as a pressure regulator...
could make for a completely new type of "reed" valve...
this guy went to the effort to simulate it... and theres plenty of scope for experimentation rather than just cut and paste the (as patented) design as he did...
