Steve and I are planning to come this year! Sounds like a real fun time in one beautiful place!

announcement!

im no longer a p.n.w. rider as local politics between members has become to thick & i must head in a differnt direction, my hope this year was for a more public vendor friendly venue, but ive been poopoo'd by the other pnw riders & extreme egos. all infrastructure for sheldon field was set into motion, the school district has many amenitys they will rent if the rally was to really grow as some of us hoped it whould! ive been poopooed as some whould rather have it at augis motoredbike center, i was hopeing for more diplomatic input from the motoredbike masses & get a genaral concensus of there wants & desires! i now return you to the dog & pony show! back to my garage now building more bikes alone, i feel better all ready!

the wavy i know will always be a "rider" to me, and always welcome.

now, let's get this "laundry" taken care of once & for all.

in wavy's defense, our problems have in fact been caused by non-riding or non-member local meddling residents. a very strange environment is OP.

there was never any local pnw-rider consensus, "consensus" implying unity & discussion. because of the local busy-bodies, this group hasn't even ridden together in months...exception being rif's visit.

here's a consensus: the majority of the local riders say "somebody stole OUR wavygravy & we want him back!"

and this...
a more public vendor friendly venue,
would it be ok if we could have just one single MB-thing that didn't prioritize commercialism?

karma led me to the "center", some here in town resent my "karma" as well as my "politics"...and that's mostly the reason for all these recent problems.

now, a lot online also resent my politics...but at least you could admit i put on a good show, obesessing on the details many would miss.

so, if y'all want an OP rally, the center is available, a private "club" (no permits/taxes/rent) that has room for many many riders/bikes. any costs would only be about house-overhead & food/beverages. there is plenty of room for a discrete sale/swap that the interested public can attend...any vendors who are primarily "about the ride" would be welcome.

i'm very very tired of all the intrigue and pain that outsiders have caused, not interested in more discussion either...i'll lurk this thread...if there's enuff interest, we'll put together a nice weekend for ya's...if not, then not.

Please can we fold the laundry and put it away?
Last year rocked and if we all unite like gizmonuts and twiddlefreaks we will rock again! I just hope we can git er done..count me in I will have that weekend off as I have already put in for those days off. This is the first time in years that I am not a slave to the restaurants and bar scene...I have a real job now lol:giggle:

Who is coming? Lets have a show of hands!!!
I agree with Augi..."here's a consensus: the majority of the local riders say "somebody stole OUR wavygravy & we want him back!":cool:

dang it i was never really gone, just takeing a break while things settled in o.p.. i work a very demanding job& my time is quite limited some are not so understanding of that & i was accused of not doing enough for the movement, it made me regress & just wanna twiddle in my garage.augis recent move to better digs changed everything as we had all talked about bigger better stuff. so i finally did what i knew i could do to make things happen! maybe to big , to fast, i dont know? the main festival field on the main drag into town seemed like a good idea? maybe im wrong! im all for the pnw riders to move forward, maybe you could post polls to get a broader concensus of the masses wants & desires. im kinda burned out im gonna take a mini break from mbc for sanitys sake & now turn this thread over to the remaining members of the p.n.w. riders! if i may be of help in any way let me know!

I AM pnw rider, albeit a rather new one, and I believe the main reason for the rally is to show and envelop the PUBLIC in who and what we are. The rally should be in a public venue where our bikes, attitudes and wares can be openly seen by all. The school field that Wavygravy mentioned IMHO is probably the best place that can be done. But I'll be where-ever the rally is, whether I'm welcome or not. I know I won't be welcome because I have been recently pm'd that I would be turned away from the center if I came there for any reason. To quote what Peter Fonda said in the movie Wild Hogs, "Why do you think I don't wear the colors, Jack? Why do you think I ride alone? 'Cause you don't know about it anymore. I think you all oughta get back on your bikes and go out and ride the highway until you remember what riding's all about."
