painting chrome handlebars?

Dose this sound like a good way to do it?

1. Rough up chrome surface with sand paper.
2. Prime.
3. Paint.

Think the paint will stick well?

Yes, with the proper steps, it will stick, plust the proper paint. When i got my BMX bike it was painted white. I stipped it back down 2 chrome.

I'm sure your way will work pretty well...use a good metal primer.
If u wanna be really anal about it take it to a rechromers and ask them to bring it back to bare metal.

Sand well and use an etching primer. You can get Duplicolor etching primer in rattle cans at an auto parts store.
