There's a good chance your cdi is junk. Sounds just like a bad cdi. Won't start,,,, pops,,, runs great,,, dies,,,, trust me and get a damn cdi.

I've got 3 or 4 spares...Never had one go bad on me yet in all these years but I got them just in case...lol.
