So I swapped the piston to the ms460 and within 24 hours I ended having issues at first it was acting like an electrical issue and the I heard the ting, I immediately tore it open and found my piston with a chunk missing on the intake side the cylinder thank God has no signs of damage and I still have the old phantom piston but really just want to know how this could happen

What brand was the piston? Looks like it was just a flawed casting and likely had a crack or inclusion that weakened the skirt.

I ran a Meteor brand piston in mine, and it's still in there and running strong on a new bike after 2 years of me having my fun with it. Meteor pistons are the heaviest/thickest aftermarket MS460 piston and they have the best machining work of all that I have tried in my Saw and my Phantom. They are also the most expensive, for obvious reasons. Hyway brand is decent for the budget friendly builder.

I also prefer to run Caber rings with said pistons. Much more durable and WAY less brittle than most rings, especially the stock Phantom rings. They also last a very long time thanks to their metallurgy.

Yeah the exact same one
Yeah, there was definitely a casting flaw in that skirt then, or some sort of damage caused by maybe being dropped somewhere in it's life. Who did you buy it from? I would get in contact with them and see if they will replace it for you. Even the best parts can have flaws. "ish happens." as they say. If you got it from Wolf Creek, who I linked, then they should definitely help resolve your problem.

If for some reason they aren't willing to help you, then you can always go with a Hyway piston. They are good quality and half the price of the Meteor pistons, sometimes even less.

P.S. Don't mention you were running it in your bicycle engine. Say your chainsaw.

Yes took it completely apart used a clean microfiber cloth and a little gasoline wiped everything down and for good measure blew everything off with compressed air then new gaskets and reassembled with the original phantom piston but switched the rings to the caber rings
