The Honda GX200 dimensions are 12.6 x 14.8 x 13.6...L x W x H.

The Honda GC190 dimensions are 13.6 x 14.5 x 13.0.

The Honda GS190 dimensions are 13.6 x 14.5 x 13.5.

The GC/GS use a timing belt to drive the cam where the GX uses a gear drive for the cam...I previously said "Chain" which is incorrect.

I believe the GC crankshaft rides on a bushing where the GS/GX crankshaft has bearings.

The Briggs LO206 is a little smaller than all of the above engines and puts out more hp and more torque...hmmmm .

My bike should be delivered today (26 Dec '21)...not sure which engine I am going to try after I get tired of the Lifan 79cc.

Gear driven is even better than a chain .

Remember this is the Honda GX series we are talking about that is gear driven. The GC and GS are driven by a cogged belt...nothing wrong with a cogged belt but a gear drive should last longer and be more accurate.

The gc190/160 are closest to being 'bolt on' having nearly identical mounts to the lifan. Also, the height is critical to the point that they just barely fit the AT frame for vertical clearance and do not fit the rover at all, without valve cover mods . The gs190 allows almost no clearance between valve cover and frame top tube, on the AT. So the gx might not be a real-world improvement...

It'd be a nice swap if it can be mede to fit!

Honda does make a GC 120, I haven't seen them used, but it might be a shorter engine than the 160.

GX engines come with a plastic cam gear made to run at 3600 rpm. When I put one on a cart, I swap the cam for a stock metal one that is better suited for 6000 rpm.

I believe the mounting bolt pattern for the Honda GC and GX are the same...but not positive. Same width bolt pattern (3.1") but not absolutely sure about the length.

On the height...it doesn't matter if it is the greatest engine in the world if it won't fit, good point/info SirLurksAlot.

For whatever engine I choose, I plan to go with something below 207cc. All of the 212cc engines are too big for what I want to do...good engines with lots of hop up parts, just too large to be comfortable IMO. 206cc is the displacement of the Briggs LO206 and it is still in the running.

I put a harbor freight-ish (Princess Auto, Canadian version) engine 79cc on a mini chopper. I made the motor mount so the engine stood vertical, whole new carb an intake.

Been researching engines all day...at this point, I'd go with either a Briggs LO206...or "M", or "Formula" OR a Honda GX120/160/200.

Still a lot of info I need to find but maybe I am getting it narrowed down a little bit.

Decided against a two stroke...the Chinadoll engines don't have enough power and don't work well with a centrifugal clutch according to Don Grubee and something like a Yamaha KT100 is more powerful than I want as well as hard on a clutch if I put it in a bicycle with a 26" wheel instead of a Kart wheel.
