Imagine the power and fuel consumption of 2 stroke 66cc but with the added weight that a 2 stroke just doesn't provide...
 
This engine makes 8 horsepowers, not sure what you mean, might have misunderstood you.
 
I mean this 125cc 4 stroke with transmission starter motor and battery will be a very heavy 8hp.
 
This picture has been photo shop edited to place the engine,a 125cc Lifan will not fit this frame! Gearing this frame however would be simple as a 6-7-8 speed with that jack shaft or a geared hub.
 
The built in jackshaft isn't limited to running power to the left side of the bike. You can easily hit up sbp and/or staton to get a new shaft, better bearings and sealed bearing bottom bracket with the chainring freewheel to make use of a multi-speed rear wheel with motor power. That lifan 79cc lifan should have plenty of torque to accelerate quickly in 1st gear and go at least 40 without engine mods. Only reason it's not geared to go that fast single speed is it would accelerate like a dog, and they need to comply with MaB speed limit laws.
