Piston Alignment??

Hello All Anyone tell me witch way Exactly, the piston ring pins go ? Toward
the back, or To the Front? I had it marked darn it!! i cleaned it off,Duhh
So want to make sure, i put it back the same way!! Would be Thankfull

The pins for the ring gaps go in the back around the intake port

Hey: Thanks alot, i thought that made sense to me, the way the wear
pattern was. I thought i could tell by looking but it was harder than thought!
next time i wont clean the darn mark off Duhh!!

yep, to the back. intake port. so the ends of the rings dont line up with any ports.

BUT!

i noticed the last engine i got and stripped cus ima....giving it plastic surgery... happened to have the ring gaps facing the exhaust!

lucky i didna intend on rooning that wee beast!
