pistons sizes

I have an 80cc dax engine that i completely disasembled because of some problems i put it back together and used a piston from a starfire chinease engine when i go to start the piston is hitting the head. i had another 80cc dax engine that i took apart and put back together and used the same piston and i had the same problem. does anyone know if the pistons in a dax engine is diffrent from the starfires or if when putting the engine back together theres any special timing for any of the parts?

I believe that different factories make 'em slightly different sizes
there is a noticable difference between tiger (livefast) engines and howell(dax)

it's important we get on the same page here...dax doesn't offer an "80"...is it a dax "70" or an "80" from another source?

i'm pretty sure random mixing of parts won't work out so well.
