on my 70cc 4-stroke pit bike it's a cheap Chinese brand I don't even know the name of but when I bump start it because I have to because the kick starts broken it'll come on does not respond to the throttle and dies on its own whether I pull the clutch or not I've tried with the choke on I've tried with the choke off it gets fuel through the line as far as I can tell if somebody could please help me out greatly appreciate it this is my first mechanic job I've attempted and my first bike as well it's a project I'm trying to finish for my son before his birthday

How long until your son's birthday? Do you have time to possibly order parts?

You might want to start with cleaning the carburetor

I have until September 8th lol and I've already ordered the whole wiring harness and stator kit it came with CDI box ignition coil the new spark plug rectifier solenoid I have it hooked up I didn't use the rectifier or the solenoid or did I put in the new stator because I don't have the tools necessary I changed the gas I emptied the gas tank and put new gas in it I changed the oil the oil in it before was pretty nasty looking I've cleaned the carburetor once by taking it apart the float and everything seems like it's fairly new so I'm assuming the whole carburetors not too old from what I've watched in videos and seen pictures of my float looks like it's sitting in the right place

Did you pull the jets and make sure they aren't clogged and check to see if the emulsion tube is clogged?

Stock carbs on chinese pitbikes are amost always garbage. Get a nibbi or mikuni. You'll probably want a 19mm.

Also, might want to cross post your issue on a FB pitbike group.

Yea I just pulled the jets and cleaned them I didn't have any carb cleaner left so I used some diluted simple green hopefully it fixed my problem

The passages inside the carburetor circuits will also often get clogged up if the jets are clogged. It's best to soak the entire carb in a solvent bath, or even better - some time in an ultrasonic cleaner. Then, use an air nozzle to blow out the carb passages.

I think I might just go buy a new carb while this one soaks if I can find one locally then I can pick up today what do you suggest I should soak it in for how long
