I want to plan a 2 wheel event for all 2 wheels from vespas and cushmans and whizzers to our little rice burners BUT I do not know how to plan one of these events.
I was thinking of having a run from Baton Rouge to St. Francisvill

to some of the bike trails up there I know I will need a chase car / truck in case some one needs help maybe a raffel (if I can get some kick ass prizes) maybe a bar b q any ideas ????

How about something in the spring, at some midway point? I figure 3 days here to BaRouge, I have a cousin, her husband is doing FEMA hospital coordination in BR. If possible, I'll be there Cookie, whereever you put it, but give me plenty of headsup time to figure out logistics.

well, i won't be able to do much traveling, it's a budget thing...but i've been wondering when someone's gonna suggest we try to organize, like officially, and form a real "org" based on alternative bicycling. it looks like tom's given us the chance to do that here, and our "runs" would be more fun and easier to promote as official membership grew.

i'd be more than willing to put the time in if it looked like peeps were seriously interested. only a suggestion, but maybe we should have a forum called "organize?"

i really think we could pull this off & i feel it's way overdue.

i'm all for it! i could join up with our buddy from 'bama on the way down to BR. as far as dates, spring would probably be good. i'll be finishing up with school so i don't really know how it would work with that but i'll definitetly try to come.

Well, I found it on a map, and it looks pretty good to me, June 2007.

Shall we give Cookies idea a tentative name "CombustionExpoRally" or some such. Leave it up to the hosts. Make sure our camping area is near a "smoked crawdad" restauraunt, cuz that's where I'll be doing some fine dining.
I wonder if mosquito spray is offered in designer scents?

Pencil me in for June, plenty of time for details.

We need a kool name for this invasion .......maybe CYCLEMOTOR run or such thing we have plenty of time so planning will be easy and non hectic (YA RIGHT!!!) do we have any artist out there in cyber space??? to make a site page and t shirts ???
