Chains Popping chain links on 50cc engine?

What would cause my 50cc engine to keep popping chain links even with my tensioner placed correctly? I just put a brand new chain on it with the same results.

Usually, if its not aligned properly on either of the 2 front and rear sprockets and/or the cahin is rubbing againxt the frame etc, also make sure the master link does not have the open end of the link closure aimed in the forward running direction as it will just tear right off when the open end snags on something...Also, did you lube the chain up properly and with what...DAMIEN

find the rub, then you know where you need to adjust out.

It's too tight, there should be a good amount of play in the chain
