So I've built a few bikes and want to get into porting...do I need to buy anything for some simple porting as in opening the exhaust up to start out or can I go in and do stuff?

Right. I guess my question is...can I run everything stock after I do anything. Or is there anything I can do while it's still stock?

Soooo not exactly sure what your question is there, but if you're asking "do I need to mod it after porting" the answer is, no. For instance you don't need an expansion chamber after you port lol. You may need to re-jet the carb, though.

Yes that's my question I suppose lol. If I have everything stock on the engine can I go in and port exhaust and intake without buying anything extra...

Also, if you expand the ports does that mean a larger jet?
I would suggest you do all the reading you can on porting before you do anything. Draw a map of what you want first, add measurements so you don't go over them. You can make a nice paper weight in a minute if you're not careful.

Im mostly just interested in opening it up a little bit to add a little extra power. I'm a bit of a giant so I kinda need it lol
