I'm thinking about a single-spring fork, but I'm not totally convinced it's going to be any better. I think what I want is a Rokshox or similar, but it's hard to find one with an extra-long 1-inch steerer.

That's been my problem as well finding something decent with a 1 inch steer tube.

yup,, forced me to choose a different frame than I wanted just bcs all I could find was 1-1/8

I have multiple problems lol. 1 inch steerer, triple tree and also want to limit the stroke to 1.5 to 2 inches. Like the bike low. A girvin fork would be awesome.

I had a old mtn bike with a girvin flex stem back in the 90s it was pretty cool. I see they are still available on Ebay with a 22.5 stem

I'm going to try another springer, because I'm stubborn and kind of dumb.

This one is a Sunlite Deluxe, and the wheel mounts to the suspended fork instead of the rockers. I can cabbibalize the other fork if needed. Will report back.
