You may also want to re adjust the cable guide on the Engine it looks like its off and your cables doing a 90 to get to the arm that would make it almost impossible to pull as well.
Here are some pictures to help you see the proper alignment, Also if you don't like the heavy pull you can get the new longer bent ones for better alignment and last but not least, Don't take this as I'm trying to sell you anything but our kits have that removed now and is permanent.
This has been an interesting thread. I've learned that the engines are changing.
biketec, I like that design but I was wondering about something. Some people say that you should get grease on the jackshaft by removing the cable stay (the part you have moved) How would a person lube those two bearings now?
You Don't need to these days the bearings are sealed now back in the day they were only sealed on one side. there's not much in there to lube I will add some pix of whats inside and what not, and show a full illustration for you guys but right now its that time for me to head home so check back tomorrow and I will show you anything you want to see inside and out.
will do, I can show you the old size and style, and new ones as well as inside and all components if you have any request let me know id be glade to show you.
Thanks. Very nice clean castings. In the second from last pic, what is that above the orange screwdriver? It looks like a wheel hub with a real bearing.
If you were asked, what is better with the new model?
Ok so with out veering too far off topic cause Id hate to get in trouble but the major differences are 203 bearings instead of 202 on the cranks, Rollers on top and bottom of the rod 45 spark plug lowered deck, better porting and castings, and of course the clutch arm and guide, all in all a better quality engine.
Here's a small glimpse of my desk I know its bad .... been way too busy lately
