Primary reduction and clutch question

I "think" the shiny bar keeps the jackshaft assembly from rotating because it mechanically connects the jackshaft mounting plate with the engine mounting plate.

This is what l've been working on, have yet to sort out how i will achor it, probably a plate on the chain side that i can also use for a chain tensioner and mounting a gaurd. i will be making a 100mm rotor for a jack shaft brake next. I visited your website, i am intrigued with your 212 build as i too have a bixby waiting to buid.

Made some progress today on a jack shaft disc brake rotor, ended up at 103mm in diameter, made from heat treated stainless steel

I've read several references to a jack shaft disc brake needing to be "detuned", anyone know what that means?

103 may be to big, going through gears smaller is better. It tales a lot less force through the gears, with reduction then as if were direct to the wheel............Curt

I could take down to 90mm and make it work, to make it any smaller I would have to make the rotor and hub one piece

cut it down to 90, give it a go, to much you can change later..............Curt
