I am trying to complete my first build and I can't seem to keep my chain tensioner from sliding around its axis. That is, its not sliding laterally back and forth, but toward the wheel as the chain goes over it.

Has anyone else had this problem? And how have you fixed it?

You can attach a coat hanger wire or any wire to top of the metal bracket to the frame tube above. Drill a small hole in the metal plating then insert wire for stability. What I did was to really tighten the bolts so it cannot move all. I would first try to really torque up the bolts that secure it and if you strip it just get another bolt and replace it with a 3/8 bolt.

look at the bar ur mounting it on.. it tends to get smaller towards the rear of the bike so loosen it and move it forward so that your mount is on a larger piece... let me know if u have questions
