I have Athena y'all know.
Long story short I wanna use 40t, whenever I use a sprocket that doesn't have an offset like pictured below or the little "lip" before all the teeth, my chain skips. Any tips or tricks to get around this? Always been a problem with this frame sadly.

It sounds like an alignment issue by the distance of the offset lip. Also check that the rollers in your chain fit the grooves in the new sprocket. If this is correct then the tension is the only other thing to consider as I see it.

Looks like an issue with the wheel itself. thanks for the help.
You got that right. If you get a rear wheel that doesn't need the rubber parts and the sprocket just screws the hub, that's what you need for that engine. Otherwise, you're just going to over power the spokes.
