Wish me luck. After much thought and research, I just purchased the Chinese 4-stroke
53cc kit from Worldokit for $180.00. He's a long time established seller so I'm
hoping for the best. I know about the oilite bushing issue so I can deal with it
immediately with oil impregnation. Believe I'll go with a 36T or 41T sprocket.

if you get the oil lite bushing you could always try the bearing mod

The bushing is pretty crap I must say. If you don't remove the clutch and grease it it will dry up and seize but I still wonder if its just a 49cc or a 53cc I still don't know. The strap that holds the plastic cover in the back broke from vibration so I made one from a hard drive tin and it never broke probably better metal.

I wonder if China sends a real Oilite bushing with their motor kit? Or if they just send a (knock off) regular bronze bushing?
Might be a good Idea to have a real Oilite bushing ready to install

China is famous for sending a knock off to save money

Mine was regular bronze doesn't hold oil or grease worth a crap.
Yea ya cant turn a regular bronze bushing into an Oilite bushing.
Oilite Bushings are made out of porous sintered bronze, At the factory they suck the oil into it under a vacuume
To re impregnate an Oilite bushing with oil just put in boiling oil for 10 or 15 minutes

Not sure what is meant by bearing mod. I know BGF carries the parts
for the trans, including the bearing. I'd like to have a polyetheylene
bearing, tough and a slippery surface without lubricant. Maybe, I'll
have one made and try it out. CORRECTION: BGF carries the complete belt
trans and clutch but not the bushing.

I'm not an expert here but I'm fairly sure a plastic bushing could be made for
this application. I'll contact a plastic bearing manfactureer to see what
they say.
