See... straight bar... no "crown" at the bottom brace...(nor at the top if I need one)
You got to buy the crown/race or bearing set for that fork setup. A lot of times if you are careful you can remove your old 1 from your old forks & reuse them.

Hmmm... I assumed that at $120 that crap would be included. Evidently not. I guess I should assume any standard 1" set will work. I am also guessing that can't be had at the ole Wally World...

Maybe I can pull them off the old forks...

FWIW i'm still rocking the dizziness. Doc appt Thursday... but yeah... not really "riding" condition at this point. I MIGHT be able to muster up enough energy/gumption to go tackle these forks today... probably not... but we'll see.

>sigh<

This is getting REAL OLD (the whole dizziness thing)...

I thought they came with the stem bearings & races as well.

...am I gunna need an actual "pipe cutter" ($16.00 at harbor freight) or can I get away with this "tubing cutter" at $5.99?

You shouldn't have to cut the tubes, what's the issue if you don't cut them?

They are much longer than my current forks (about 6" longer)... if I leave the bottom bracket where it is... it's the same length below, but there is about 4" of pipe remaining coming out the top of my head tube. If I adjust the bottom bracket up (I am guessing I can do that, right?) then the forks below are 4"-5" longer than they were before... meaning the who bike sits 4 to 5" taller up front... leaning everything back a little (chopper style)...

I "assumed" I wanted to keep the forks below the head tube the same length as they currently are... if that is the case... I have to cut some of that fork off below.

MAYBE before I go cutting I should install with extra length just to see how it looks...

?
