I wonder if a mid drive is quiet like a hub motor? My bafang 750w hub motor was quiet, I liked that a lot. Mid drive vs hub motor is like asking what's the best motor oil. You get a lot of opinions and reasons especially on ebike review forums. I'd like to try one out and see wassup. A lot of higher end bikes use mid drives.

This is a video I made right after I swapped my BBS02 (750W) drive for a BBSHD (1000W). I almost never hear the motor running when I ride, but I play music almost continually. The way you judge motor oil is showing motors that are used hard and long and which are still running after years.
