Quick n dirty put put scooter build thread.

well i got a snowmobile engine for christmas. i was gonna put it on this vehicle, but when i ratchet strapped it to the scooter and started it the scooter vibrated across the driveway. i had this lil 2 hp briggs that i did a "restoration" on (added a decal and jb welded the fuel tank). anyway the drive is self explanitory. im machining a pully to fit the rear axle, and then i just build a belt guard, wiring, foot pegs, heat shields and an exhaust system... now i just need a good name for it

it was gas. it also had little to no oil in it. what was in the crank case i poured in my scooter and burned it all up. it was straight gas. i think there was some oil in the fuel, because the walves were so carboned up. it has been ran about once. the engine wasnt even broken in. it was from 2017, and has a bigger valve head. its a 196 non hemi.

i can only do 25. my biggest problem is torque. i dont have enough ccs (106) or rotating mass (15 lbs). with a 196 i can use a tav30

this is an antique motor, and it dont rev up so i cant gear it really low an just rpm the thing to go fast

YEP...And this is what happened on his last bike ride with rocket fuel in the tank...Must have had an "O" ring failure too...lol...DAMIEN
