Redex/STP

I put some redex into my 2 stroke oil in my bike
A. smokes less
B. has more power/ 4 strokes less.

I put in quite a lot, perhaps its leaned the mixture slightly, as I'm running far to rich (haven't got new jet yet)

Hi BSA. Is this a test/experiment? or is this a proven tip? How much would you guess is quite a lot. (Mixture ratio.) Thanks.

Both really, still testing. Going for a long ride today with a cold start so should have more info later on. 10:30 am here in England.

I think Redex is a Toulene or Xylene mixture if I remember rightly.
Anyway point is, check your rubber fuel lines after a while though.

Update: engine does indeed seem to run better with redex with far less smoke and coke on the cylinder head, piston and exhaust. However if the engien idles for more than about 5 miniuts it starts to smoke in a bad way. Anyone know why?
