Is there any way of reducing the exhaust noise of a new Robin 35? It's acceptable, but I don't want to attract attention.

On hard acceleration the Robin's exhaust is quite loud and frantic. Would a short piece of plastic or metal pipe on the end of the exhaust stub help reduce it?

If there is a stub of tubing sticking out of the muffler, you could add 8 -12" of silicone exhaust tubing. It helps.

Kerf:
Have you done this on the Robin/Subaru??? If so, any performance issues? Also, where do you get the tubing? The auto parts store?
Thanks,
Mike
