Spray carb cleaner or wd40 or ether around reed housing & carburetor to check for air leaks, you should hear a rpm change if air leak is present. Sounds like air leak problem to me, causing it to run lean. Also you might have to up-jet with the reed setup, but I'm unsure on the up-jet as I'm in working progress of a reed setup.

As of a short while ago...I have noticed lately that sometimes there are posts that is either gibberish or makes no sense whatsoever or a combination of both...lol...The question mark makes it a lot easier than having to manually keep typing for explainations...So i asked Anton to include one...The question mark says it all...lol.
