I've got this depiction to go by, question being - where are the tabs and where do you insert the washer?

Hyper Cruiser build

Can you elaborate on why? Or what I must do to not run into the coaster brake locking up? What should I do?

A little bit of background. I'm thinking of going with the Hyper Cruiser and want to install a front and rear hand brake. I've heard the coaster brake locks up when it gets spent and I'm trying to avoid that.

Bump,

Is the coaster brake on the Hyper Cruiser difficult to inspect and service?

I'm having a difficult time deciding between the Bayside Cruiser, which will cost more money, have two hands brakes, or the Hyper Cruiser, which will look cooler and likely only utilize a front brake and a rear coaster brake.

The hyper cruiser will have a lot more simplicity without the derailer and all of the cables, and it looks cooler. I'm not sure what to do about the coaster brake, should I use it with a front brake or should I remove it somehow and add a rear brake??

This is the slow time of day in the forums...No need to bump.

Wait for someone like @GW's Motorized to answer you after he has had his supper...He has done this and knows how it is done.

PATIENCE...lol.

We've been talking privately. I've been busy most of the day helping a friend rebuild the deck on his riding mower and get it running again. I gotta go back on Wednesday after he gets the parts he ordered in and get it finished.

I've pretty much got it, here in a video he says to bend the tabs, shows them, and mentions a washer but I never see him add a washer

Once I get the bike, dissasemble the hub, -- then I may see what size washer is needed.

what if no washer gets added?
