Thanks, I spent more on it than it is worth if I were to sell it. I didn't restore it to sell I did to save some family history.

Yes, it still has the 239 v-8 flat head, the only thing I had to do to the engine was replace a lifter, valve and a valve guide. That valve stuck from sitting so long and battered the top of the solid lifter. I rewired the car one wire at a time, changed to a mid 60’s Ford alternator for 12volt. The wiring was a challenge, I had to reverse wire everything because it was originally positive ground. I’ve added a heater(it was a option then) and a radio.

What grit of sandpaper do you finish with?Noticed a head gasket leak. I resurfaced the head and used a new copper head gasket But I still had a head gasket leak.
This means it was a warped cyl deck. I resurfaced the cyl deck and it's all's good again

No wonder I kill myself trying to start my damn bike. I used only 120 grit on a belt sander, no glass.

It will need a lot of sanding now. No worries though, sands easy by hand, soft alloy.
