Riding at China

I have been looking around web for information regarding to laws at Mainland China. So far no clear answer and no luck getting any answers.
Does motorized bicycles need to be registered or can be operated without any license and registration? Lets say less than 50cc engine.

If anyone has any information regarding to it would be really appreciated!

China does not allow the 2-stroke engines made their to be operated there, their air is too dirty.

China outlawed 2-stroke motorized bicycles before the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing. Only electrics are legal there now.
