RIDING BIKE, motor started putting out and died!Sounded like it was backfiring

I was riding my motorbike back from work and out of nowhere it started sputtering and sounded like it was backfiring. Then it conked out, so i tried to restart it by pedaling holding in the clutch and the throttle down, but once i let go of the clutch the throttle didn't seem to take over it just tried to start and died! please help any suggestions or ideas how to fix this??

Welcome to MBc. Good idea from srdavo. I would also check the sparkplug. Those cheap, chinese plugs have a way of cracking and shorting out (and it seems like it is usually on the side that you just can't quite see.

Have you ever cleaned the air filter?

pull the mag cover of, and check the key also look at the air gap on the mag loop
